snackTaxi Review

I am SO excited to do a review on these products! I fully support the cause and function of the snackTaxi!! They are eco-friendly, adorable, and practical!!
I found that these items are very easy to use. At first I was hesitant about using them for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches because of the contents but they stood up great! Yes, jelly did leak out of the sandwich and get onto the snackTaxi, but it was easily cleaned off! I simply wiped it down with a wet paper towel and stuck it in the washer. This probably was not even necessary but I am a little OCD (Yes, I'm one of those people who rinse dishes before putting them in the dishwasher).
The Sandwich size bag was perfect for a sandwich and the snack size was perfect for the chips on the side (a healthier option such as carrots would work perfectly as well). Because of it's great lining, you don't have to worry about the water on the fruits or vegetables soaking through the cloth either!

Another thing that I love about this company is that their products are made right here in the United States in Massachusetts. I love supporting companies that have not moved their manufacturing to other countries for so many reasons. First off, I trust the product more because of the regulations that the U.S. has on production. Second, because these are jobs that we are keeping in America!
- Each Reusable bag you use keeps as many as 1000 plastic bags out of the waste stream! (It is amazing how much of a difference one bag and just one person can make!!)
- snackTAXIs are machine washable (This is great for anyone that is busy)
- Our materials are free of lead and phthalates (This makes it safe to put your sandwich in)
- The US alone adds 20 million plastic baggies to landfills every single day. (Can you imagine this!!! 20 MILLION plastic baggies!!! I plead that the next time you use a plastic baggie that you choose to purchase a snackTAXI or use a resuable container of some sort to prevent the addition of all of these plastic baggies)

Walgreens Trip 5/24 (And CVS)
This week as far as shopping goes was not so good. I forgot to use my $5 RR yesterday because I was wrapped up with all of the Graduation celebrations.
I went today to CVS and Walgreens, a day later than I usually do.

Apparently my CVS no longer accepts the BOGO coupons when they have a BOGO promotion going on. I thought only Walgreens was like this. I was able to use one coupon though. I was disappointed with the BOGO new policy. This all happened after I found out that there were NO Gillette body washes remaining

My Blog Is Carbon Neutral!
I saw a button on the sidebar of a blog I was reading and looked into this. I had no idea that there was such a large impact! Join this cause and make your blog Carbon Neutral!
How much carbon dioxide does your blog create?
According to a study by Alexander Wissner-Gross, PhD, physicist at Harvard University and environmental activist, an average website causes about 0.02g (0,0008oz.) of carbon dioxide for each visit. Assuming an average blog gets 15,000 visits a month, it has yearly carbon dioxide emissions of 3,6kg (8lb.). This can mainly be tracked back to the immense energy usage from (mainframe) computers, servers, and their cooling systems.

One tree neutralises the carbon dioxide emissions of your blog
The atmosphere can be relieved by an average of 5kg (11lb.) carbon dioxide every year by planting one tree. An average blog causes 3.6kg (8lb.) of carbon dioxide emissions. Consequently, a tree neutralizes the carbon dioxide emissions of a blog. Since a tree lives for an average of 50 years, carbon dioxide emissions of your blog can be completely neutralised for this time period.

I received a Table Runner from Silly Mama Quilts as a giveaway from another blog. Honestly, I was really excited when I won the Table Runner and happy with the product that I picked out on her website, but none of those pictures did justice to the actual product! I was so excited when I took the Table Runner out of the package because I was so much happier with the product when I saw it in person! It is truly a product of great quality! I was so IMPRESSED with the quality of her work that I had to e-mail her to thank her for such an awesome product.
Her products are handmade and of superb quality. She even says on her store's site, "Shop with confidence - each item listed in my shop is an item I would be proud to give to my closest friend!" After seeing one of her piece's, I can say that I would be proud to give this as a gift to any of my closest friends or have it in my own home which I now do!

Mail Check- 5/8
I had great week when it came to mail this week! I've won a few giveaways over the past month and all the prizes seem to come in this week after waiting a long time for some of them!

- Coupon for a Free One Package any flavor YoPlus OR YoPlus Light Yogurt 4-pack (This was sent to the first 50 people who signed up on the blog giveaway)
- I received a coupon for Free YoCrunch 10 Calorie Pack or Breyers Inspirations Pack from Confessions of a Psychotic Housewife.
- I received a Seventh Generation Prize Pack from Anneonlife.com (The cleaning supplies I am falling in love with).
- I received 12 sticks of Soft Lips and a Deodorant from a giveaway on Rockin' Mama (Gave some away and kept some for myself).
As you can tell, I am a little obsessed with entering into giveaways!! I pretty much think they are the best things ever and I have started to buy products from companies that I have won something from many times. Example: This Seventh Generation Prize Pack really taught me a lot about the different effects of cleaners and paper towels on the Earth and I will think twice!
So, if you want free stuff too...make sure to enter into giveaways on blogs! When I first started reading blogs I would enter into a couple and wait to see if I won and now I enter into probably over 50 a week (CRAZY...I know...it serves as a good study break), but the excitement of getting the free product is worth the time. One blog that has a lot of giveaways going on right now is Tatum's Family Reviews.
